AMENEMHAT TT 340
The tomb of Amenemhat could be not only the most ancient tomb decorated on the site of Deir el-Medina, but actually one of the most ancient tombs decorated from the whole necropolis of the New Kingdom at Thebes.

INERKHAU TT359 AND TT299
Inerkhaou, superior of the craftsmen of Dier el-Medina had two tombs. The best known exists in the form of TT359 which still contains scenes in their original sensational colors. This tomb was integrated into a vast family group. His other tomb, TT299, is completely inaccessible.

IRYNEFER TT 290
The tomb of Irynefer is one of the better preserved and of the most colourful of the tombs of the craftsmen. His theological program translates the familiarity of these men with the great royal funeral compositions of which they are inspired. |

NEBENMAAT TT 219
The burial chamber is decorated like a coffin, and even has its shape. The walls of the vaulted room have been decorated with great care. Yellow and white predominate, the yellow hinting here at the diffuse light thought to penetrate the interior of the tomb. The figures in yellow stand out against a white background, whilst the hieroglyphs, furniture, hair and eyes are painted in black. |

NAKHTAMON TT 335
The artist's talent explodes in the underground arched passage leading to the couples' vault on the the lower floor. The whole thing marks the itinerary of the "exit of the day" of the two spouses swathed in light and thus returned to eternal beauty.

PASHED TT 3
The vault of Pashed is very well-preserved, and possess very rich decoration. It summarises the awaited future of eternity even in this triumphant 19th Dynasty. One finds in this craftsman's tomb a veritable small theological treatise. |

The tomb of Sennedjem is the most reproduced of the works of art of all Egyptian tombs. It doesn't only result from the incredible freshness of its colours, but also from the theological interest of the evocative scenes.

The tomb of Nebamon and Ipouky is called the "Tomb of the two sculptors". The two characters were craftsmen, but their tomb was excavated in the hill of the Nobles. |
